The Hut Dojo:

The Hut Dojo is the Headquarters of the Institute of Aikido, which has affiliated clubs throughout the world.

Aikido is a Japanese defensive martial art based on throws and immobilisation techniques. The Hut Aikido Club is proud of its long tradition of teaching Aikido, having been in continuous existence since the 1950’s. The Hut Dojo was the place where Abbe Sensei first taught Aikido in the UK.

The Hut Dojo is near Hillingdon Hospital, behind the The Hut public house in Old Orchard Road, Uxbridge, Middx. UB8 3LL

Beginners’ Classes:
Adult Beginners’ Class (16 and upwards):
Mondays: 8.15 to 9.45pm.
Ladies very welcome.

Children’s Class (ages 8 - 15):
Saturdays 10.30am - 12.00

Advanced Classes:
Open hand techniques:

Tuesdays: 7.30 - 9.00pm.
Thursdays: 8.00 - 9.30pm.
Sundays: 10.45 - 12.15

Weapons: Jo and Bokken:
Mondays: 7.00 - 8.15pm.

Adult mat fees are £5.00 per session. Students’ and children’s rates
available on request.
